Immersion in Camargue

East of Marseille lies a great wetland at the mouth of the Rhone River where it empties in the Mediterranean. Known as the Camargue, it features untamed wilderness, flying of migrant pink flamingoes, “traditional French cowboys” and livestock breeding farms, and vast rice fields, making it a must-see.

With our immersion program, you can treat yourself to a stop at an authentic « manade » (local farm), meet the local inhabitants who have shaped this wild landscape rich in traditions. After a warm welcome from the “Guardians” (mounted-cattle herdsmen) you will select the activity that best fits your mood: choose from a bike tour in the countryside, a buggy or horse ride, or a gastronomy workshop. There will also be horse-riding demonstrations and traditional games in a French style rodeo “arena”.
